Enabling the renewable energy transition through our major transmission projects and supporting our clean energy-focused customers.
We are committed to a target of Net Zero Scope 1 emissions by 2040 with a Scope 1 Emissions Reduction Plan, based on:
- Repairing and replacing SF6 equipment, where possible
- Upgrading our vehicle fleet to lower emissions
- Utilising reputable and validated carbon offsets only as required.
We are committed to protecting biodiversity during project delivery and maintenance.
We are committed to managing waste in occupied sites and increasing staff awareness of recycling practices.
We are partnering with Carbon Neutral Adelaide to support the City of Adelaide becoming a carbon-neutral city. We also sponsor Trees for Life, BioR, Nature Play SA and Adelaide Zoo on various environmental protection activities.
We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all employees, contractors and the communities we work with. Initiatives include:
- Our Work, Health, Safety and Environment Committee (WHSE) to support the delivery, development and review of WHS practices
- We use Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR) as a key metric for assessing our safety performance and identifying areas for improvement in our safety programs
- We also use our own Proactive Index for Safety Management (PRISM), which is a composite measure, with 1.00 as the highest possible score, that considers performance across several proactive safety management actions:
- Reporting Near Miss Incidents
- Controlling Hazards
- Safety Audits and Inspections
