Enabling the renewable energy transition through our major transmission projects and supporting our clean energy-focused customers.
We are committed to a target of Net Zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2040. The net zero plan will focus on:
- Repairing and replacing SF6 equipment, where possible
- Upgrading our vehicle fleet to lower emissions
- Investing in efficient technologies and sustainable materials to minimise our carbon footprint.
- Implementing energy efficiency measures across our occupied and unoccupied sites.
- Utilising reputable and validated carbon offsets only as required.
We are committed to protecting biodiversity during project delivery and maintenance.
We are committed to managing waste in occupied sites and increasing staff awareness of recycling practices.
We sponsor Trees for Life, BioR, Nature Play SA and Adelaide Zoo on various environmental protection activities.
-
- Committed to the safety and wellbeing of all employees, contractors and the communities we work with
- The Work, Health, Safety and Environment Committee (WHSE) is in place to support the delivery, development and review of WHS practices
- Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR) used as a key metric for assessing our safety performance and identifying areas for improvement in our safety programs
- ElectraNet also uses its own Proactive Index for Safety Management (PRISM), which is a composite measure, with 1.00 as the highest possible score, that considers performance across several proactive safety management actions:
- Reporting Near Miss Incidents
- Controlling Hazards
- Safety Audits and Inspections
